2. Data Processed for Website Provision and Log File Creation
a. What data is processed and for what purpose?
Each time the website content is accessed, data that may allow identification is temporarily stored.
The temporary storage of data is necessary for the operation of a website visit to enable website delivery. Further storage in log files ensures the functionality of the website and the security of information technology systems. Our legitimate interest in data processing also lies in these purposes.
b. On what legal basis is this data processed?
The data is processed based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR.
c. Are there any recipients of personal data besides the responsible entity?
The website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, datenschutz@ionos.de. The host receives the above-mentioned data as a processor.
d. How long is the data stored?
Data is deleted as soon as it is no longer necessary for achieving the purpose of its collection. In principle, your personal data is retained for the duration of the fulfillment of the aforementioned purposes and then deleted. This is the case for website provision when the respective session ends.
In the event of an objection or revocation of your consent, data deletion occurs under the conditions mentioned in point 3 for objection/revocation.
Moreover, we may be obliged to continue storing your data due to legal requirements (HGB, AO, etc.). The standard limitation period is 3 years according to § 195 BGB.
3. Rights of Data Subjects
a. Right to Information
You can request information according to Art. 15 GDPR about your personal data that we process.
b. Right to Object
You have the right to object for special reasons (see point II).
c. Right to Rectification
If your data is no longer accurate, you can request rectification according to Art. 16 GDPR. If your data is incomplete, you can request completion.
d. Right to Erasure
You can request the deletion of your personal data according to Art. 17 GDPR
e. Right to Restriction of Processing
You have the right according to Art. 18 GDPR to request a restriction of the processing of your personal data.
f. Right to Lodge a Complaint
If you believe that the processing of your personal data violates data protection laws, you have the right according to Art. 77 (1) GDPR to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority of your choice. g. Right to Data Portability
If the conditions of Art. 20 (1) GDPR are met, you have the right to have data we process automatically based on your consent or in fulfillment of a contract handed over to yourself or to a third party. The collection of data for website provision and the storage of log files are mandatory for the operation of the website. Therefore, they are not based on consent according to Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR or on a contract according to Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR, but are justified under Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. The conditions of Art. 20 (1) GDPR are therefore not fulfilled in this respect.
II. Right to Object according to Art. 21 (1) GDPR
You have the right, for reasons arising from your particular situation, to object at any time to the processing of your personal data, which is carried out on the basis of Article 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. The controller will then no longer process the personal data unless they can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that override the interests, rights, and freedoms of the data subject, or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims. The collection of data for website provision and the storage of log files are mandatory for the operation of the website.
